I'm calling these dragonflies elusive because looking at these pictures reminds me of the length of time that I had to wait under a searing sun. There were several red dragonflies and the vibrancy of the red stood out against the dying grass. as for the last photo, that's a Picture wing dragonfly that kindly deigned to stop for a moment.
All these pictures were taken about ten days ago at Deepor Beel, the largest water body in our area.

I never tire of these elusive dragonflies.
whoa..elusive you say.. they are indeed.. You are good to be able to capture them and a clear and vibrant one at that! Awesome capture! :)
Gorgeous pictures! The Picture Wing looks like a cross between a drangonfly and a butterfly.
I thought the last one was a butterfly too! Lovely captures. I hope you didn't suffer the heat too much.
Hugs
Thanks Kanak for taking these pics! Sorry for the heat. I love that yellow one. Never seen one with the colour before.
Great Captures, Kanak. I've been trying to get a good photo of a dragonfly and haven't yet succeeded. Now I see, I need to be more persistent, braving sun and rain.
