Leaf Beetles Or Love Bugs?

This morning I posted pictures of my May-blooming orchids/Aerides odorata on my other blog for a weekly meme where I participate regularly. Ever since these blooms appeared, the ants, the bees, and these leaf beetles have been living it up on these fragrant blooms!:)

Some time back, One, who posts the most amazing pictures of insects ( and blooms, and scenic sights) had posted a picture of a mating pair of leaf beetles. Well, the other day, I was going about my own business, read that as: looking for butterflies and other interesting winged critters, when I came across these sights.

Hope you enjoyed going through these images! Andrea will be tickled pink to see this post (me thinks)!!

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

LOL! I haven't seen yellow ones before! You've got them covered in all directions! Really kiasu of you.

Your orchids are lovely too.

Has the kiasu game just begun?

LOL Kanak - great shots. Our red beetles should be doing that very soon around here too.

BTW your blog header is just awesome :)

One...the kiasu thing has been on my mind ever since I read your post!! Not too many butterflies visiting me except for some of the common ones that I've photographed a zillion times! With kiasu? I'm game!!!

Rosie....thanks! So glad you stopped by!:)

Gorgeous captures Kanak! What a beautiful spot they select for the love making. Did you leave them alive after taking the shots? or did what we expect from most gardeners.

Sylvia...thank you so much!!

Birdy...I didn't have the heart!! Had they been on the pumpkin vine, may be.....

What a collection of images, Kanak. The last one (head on) is my absolute favourite. I'm glad yuo liked my piebald birds, but that stunning saffron yellow takes some beating!

Whoops, I'm sorry ~ a typo ... that should be 'you'!

Good grief!!! They sure appear to be mating, right on your flowers! Hope they are harmless to your pretty plants.

Am sorry Kanak for being late as i had a few days off to a forest where signal is so weak, also it takes infinity to open the comment box here! I dont feel envious with your photos here, because porn is banned! And i definitely stop being 'kiasu' with your header because nothing beats that shot, absolutely the best. I also didnt know Nature Rambles is also yours! haha
