A New Video & My Drummer Boy

This post is very different from my usual ones. My younger son is a drummer and plays for quite a few bands. This video with the band M-Sonic released yesterday. The video shoot was done last month just after Nishant, my son, recovered from corn surgery on both feet.

The singer/guitarist is Mainak, a very talented person is the main force behind the band, M-Sonic. He's very well-known in our region. The bass is played by Simanta. My son is away in Delhi studying at a college there. He turned 18 on the 29th of July. I hope you enjoy watching this video. It's a joy to share this with my blog friends from across the globe!

Wow! That was too good! Nishant is such a good drummer- so vigourous at places, and subdued at poignant moments! He has a great hobby in which he excels! My love and best wishes to him.

This is great and Nishant is indeed a talented drummer! I particularly enjoyed it because my oldest son is a drummer and still plays with a band every weekend in clubs all over Texas and Louisiana even though he is a department head at a university in Dallas! He still loves his music and drums! Thank you so much for sharing this today!! Hope you have a great weekend -- both of you!!

Hi Kanak :-) I actually watched this video at some silly hour of the night but thought it best to leave the comment until today ;-)

Well, I was more than impressed! When I saw it come up on my sidebar I wasn't sure what to expect but I really liked it! I thought they were all very talented and your son really knows what he is doing with those drums although of course I knew he did as you posted a video of him some time ago which showed his talent. If I remember rightly that one was rather 'heavy metal' but I found this one very enjoyable and different. I love music and am always open to new sounds.

Judging by this video I think Nishant has a very big career ahead of him. I also googled him and found an interesting interview he did a year or so ago. I wish him luck with his studies and his drumming...I suspect we will hear more of him in the future!

I'm off to watch the video again now :-)

Hi again Kanak :-) I had to come back and say I just watched it again...and then again! I really think it is excellent. Quality stuff! I now have it bookmarked in my favourites on You Tube. Will Nishant be playing with M-Sonic permanently or remain independent and guest with them? I was very impressed with the sentiment of the song which I read about on You Tube...it is so heartening that young people are spreading the word for peace and demolishing barriers.

BTW I don't know how he manages to play so well and juggle those drum sticks ...we haven't heard the last of him! :-)

Hello, Kanak, I think I know how you’re proud of him. While studying, he is such a nice drummer and he is so cool. My son, now a patent attorney, used to play on his band as a guitarist when he was a university student, too. I enjoyed going to live concert to cheer them up.

Mainak is indeed talented and so is your son, who plays the drum with passion. I love the dramatic ending to this video too.
