I find most caterpillars scary. But I still want to photograph them in order to document what types are seen in my garden. The above photos were taken earlier this month. The plant is the Sedum sexangulare/Tasteless Stonecrop.
And on the bougainvillea was this hairy black one. Below is a brown one on my tomato stake.
But here are my favourites! The tiny caterpillars of the Common Mormon swallowtail butterfly chomping away at these lemon leaves! I can't wait for them to turn into butterflies. And it's worth planting lemon saplings just so they can come and increase and multiply!!

How exciting to have all of these in your garden! Hope you have a lovely day.
The first photo is very interesting. I think caterpillars are fun. You took some great photos. I hope you're rewarded with a lot of butterflies.
Every time you find them a bit scary remember what beautiful butterflies they will be eventually Kanak :)
I think caterpillars can be cute and you caught some great ones -- I do like them better once they become butterflies! Terrific shots of them! Hope your week is going well!

Yes, like Sylvia, I too like them more when they turn into butterflies! Great post!
Goodness, all the different ones you have! That first one looks like an assortment of makeup brushes!! They do creep me out a bit, too.
yikes! I can't stand these hairy furry stuffs... But they look quite good in your photos ;-)
Oh you will have such nice butterflies! I'm not much for touching caterpillars, just let them crawl away, or chew on leaves, but your pics are cool!
the hairy furry ones are scary!
Great photos! I find some caterpillars quite beautiful.
Have a nice day, Boonie
